Manuel Antonio National Park is famous for it’s stunning beaches, two of them sandy beaches named Espadilla Sur and Manuel Antonio.
The park encloses 12 rocky islands that are a sanctuary for seabirds and sea creatures (dolphins, whales. Turtles) lush rainforest and wildlife.
Commonly you can see monkeys, sloths, coatimundis and many birds. Manuel Antonio National Park is one of the country’s most visited and beatiful parks.
Places to visit in Manuel Antonio National Park :
PUNTA CATEDRAL: a small loop around it with wonderful views of the Pacific. Used to be an island but now is joined to the mainland, this trail has a duration of one hour.
PEREZOZO TRAIL: named after the numerous sloths that you can find in this trail, but not only sloths you can also find monkeys (white face and howler monkeys) iguanas, toucans and many birds.
PUERTO ESCONDIDO: is the third beach inside the park a wide, horseshoe shaped beach
EL MIRADOR TRAIL: ends with a magnificent lookout point that overlooks Punta Serrucho that marks the limit of the Park.
